Jesus's Birthday

When we woke this morning to the bluer-than-blue sky, crisp, clear air and gentle breeze, we could see why Jesus (who, after all, could presumably have chosen anywhere in the world) chose a set up like this for His First Birthday. Only He could have anticipated the remarkable warmth and grace of the people we have come to know. 

I imagine, too, the possibility of such an ecclectic group of party guests - not merely Angels, shepherds and Three Wise Men but camels to boot! - must have gone a long way to swinging it. The party of a lifetime!

Though, of course, had He known about Birmingham...
